Oh, boy! I am so excited to share this experience with her. Some of the work we have been doing, is shown in the pictures:
The picture at the top left is the antenna we made on duroid, and the other picture is of a guy who helped us prepare the antenna on a piece of sapphire in the clean room. We do it on sapphire, because pure sapphire made in a laboratory is Al2O3. Alumina! It makes a good substrate for this, but I don't know that much about antennas to tell you why.
The thrust of my work has been a computer code, so nothing pretty to put in here. :) We have made some friends in the aerospace department, shown with us by the overflow area for water drainage. It's a pretty green color, isn't it? From the left to right, that is Subu, Rob, Caleb, Brijesh Griffin (Yes, Griffin), Bouhl, and yrs trly.
